 UVB/MDB ???

Ok we got a LTGL a couple weeks ago and Ifve never heard of MDB, what is it exactly?


and what is a uvb light? Ifm really not sure what kind of light we got the little bugger but itfs red lol... bad/good whatfs the deal?

He/she eats well, moves around, likes to bury its self... also anyone feed them fruit?

mbd is when the bones become weak and flimzy. a uvb light is a light that mimics the sun. you will need one for your lizard. they will cost about 50 bucks for a light and a fixture

Well right now we do have the ceramic fixture and the light which I thought would work find, but i have no idea if itfs a uvb light so I will go back to the pet store in a few days.


How do I know if my LTGL is getting or has mdb?

well if its red its not. if you spent less than 40 bucks on it its not. you will see the legs being bent in if it has mbd

around my part of town, i got my 15" 8.0 for $25, but i already had a fixture, most tanks come with a fixture

oh, and shop online, i got ripped off, theyre $11 on most pet sites, and around the same on e-bay

After you add the shipping it will still cost around twenty something and it might be broken when you get it. But mine usually costs around 23.00. Different stores have slightly different prices too. shop around a little. They also come in different strengths. You probably want 8.0 or 10.0.
