Long tailed grass lizards I feed my long tailed grass lizard 1-2 crickets every 1-2 days. I mist his tank every time I think he needs water and he has a water bowl. I dust his crickets with herpcare cricket powder and I give him a light with sun rays. Does anyone know any food like fruits or veggies I could feed him that he will eat. Also if any one knows how to tell if it is a boy are a girl it would be helpful. I have been recently been looking up information onMBDand if any one has any information on that it would be helpful.

Long tailed grass lizards Usually a black streak down its back means its a male, also look for a bulge at the tail. I dont know of any fruits or vegetables to feed them. You could try little tiny pieces of fruits, also you can dust the fruits. If the herpcare cricket powder has calcium in it then your lizards will not get MBD. Monitor your lizards (lol) and check if they are hanging upside down with their head or tail hanging down. If your lizard’s tank is near a window getting sun rays then your lizard will roast. Other than that your fine.

Long tailed grass lizards that tank if fine for two as long as they arn’t both male. feed them 2-3 small chrix every 3 days. heating for night should be in the form of a heat mat/pad. and a spotlight above the mat at one end during the day. and by the way you have greatly misinformed the person who started this thread, his LTGL will get MBD if not provided with a 5% uvb light. no matter how much vitamins and calcium crud you shuv in that lizard it won’t do any good. they can’t absorb it without a uvb light source. and by the way i would take all the lizards to a vet to be wormed and de parasited cos most are verry ill wild caught and shiped overin poor conditons. unless treated strait away they will die a slow and painful death. so take them to a vet and have a fecal sample analised for parasites, pritty much all LTGL have a deadly haevy parasite load.
