 Weird lumps on grass lizard?!

I was interested in purchasing another grass lizard, so I went and looked in my local pet store. They had male baby grass lizards, but they had strange lumps and bumps all over the, something my lizard does not have. The owner said they have mites and she is treating them, but my lizard had mites previously and never got strange lumps. Is it something else they have, or is it just an advanced stage of mites? Another thing I thought was strange is that the owner is treating the "mites" with Betadine...isn’t that wrong/unsafe for them?

And lastly I wanted to ask if anyone knew if I could put a baby grass lizard in the same tank with the adult one I already have, or if they would fight/hurt eachother.
