Over the last few days I have noticed strange growths on some of my lizards. They look like warts and are usually hard little bumps. They almost look like inflamed scales. When i was examining one of the lizards he squirmed and one of the warts was pryed off. The skin itself did not tear it, it appears healthy and feels like normal but under the warts the tissue is wet and looks infected. Removing the warts takes little to no effort, a gentle push with my finger nail usually make the warts lift up and off the animal. I have been using some extra strength antibacterial ointment and that helps the immediate "wart" site but more keep popping up. Any ideas on what it is and how to fix it?
