Strange bump 
BP? Ball python??? Can you describe the lump a little more? A lump can be a lot of things hehe. It could be under the scale, under the skin, in the tissue and even on the bone. What does it look like? Is it filled with bozo? Soft or Hard? Check under the scales surrounding the area and check for injuries. Perhaps a mouse bit it and it just needs to be drained of its fluid. Also if its to wet in there it might be scale rot or something to that effect. Give us a better description please!!!
