Need help identifying parasitic worms in gecko tank
Hello I need help trying to Identify a certain worm parasite found in the feces I believe of leopard geckos I have in a certain enclosure. I have three juvenile gecko’s in an enclosure and just saw what I’m pretty sure is feces but could be decomposing cricket matter in there cage. at first I thought it was an old dead cricket I overlooked and that they were a type of maggot. Which still is a possibility but I’m leaning tword the possibility that it is feces possibly an undigested cricket as thats what it does look like but there are tiny approx 1/32 " visible to the eye worms they look like they have a fuzzy type body with a black tip to there head and are very slender there actualy about a 1/8-1/4 inch long(I just checked)and very active. Also along with the worms are what apear to be eggs of some sort there flat sesame seed looking but smaller also very visible slightly yellow tint though these seem to be moving also so perhaps there larvae of some type. I’m trying to locate my USB microscope so I can take a Picture of it. I’m trying to find the name or pictures to compare to so that I can get an anti parasite formula from someone. I have many animals and rarely have issues like this due to the fact that I can see this problem I think it would be much easier to treat myself then to go to a vet and have hem tell me what I already know and charge me more than what there even worth to me. Though I do want to get treatment these are not any of my high end animals so I don’t need a giant vet bill for a few normal leopard geckos . If anyone has a site they could refer me to that might have pictures to compare to that would be great. If thats not possible is there anyone that can recommend a certain type drug or anti parasite formula avail prescription or not so I know what to look for in order to treat these little ones as for this moment I don’t think all have it but it will be real hard to prevent it since I don’t know who’s poop I’m looking at.
