 Cause of B.D. Death??

Our 2 year old bearded dragon just died. He came out of his brumation a week or so ago. Both this year and last year he brumated from Nov to early Feb. This year was the same as last although he did not seem to have the appetite this year he had last year coming out. Other than that, everything seemed fine.
Today we found him dead. He had come down off his brick pile and vomited a large amount of blood. I guess something ruptured inside and he bled to death. There was no injury recently. He hadn’t fallen, been dropped, hurt or anything.
I don’t want to pay to find out what happened but I don’t want it to happen again if I did something wrong. He lost alot of blood all and once and I don’t think parasites could eat through an artery wall or anything like that. Anybody have any ideas?

Could be gut-rot. IDK though. Some people on here might be able to give better help.
