can i get sand from a rown my home and put it in with hermit crabs and also can i get shells from the wild on the Beach and have them for my hermits to live in

yes. as long as you have moist sand where they hermies can build a sandcastle then you should be fine. if the pebbles can be picked out it would be better but they are okay.

well to shell babe: i wouldnt use any colored sand because they use chemicals to color it.

about the whale eyed shells: most PPs are normally easy to get shells for but Es prefer the whale eyes. PPs prefer either turbos or bablonyians (spelling?)or jap. snail shells.
