He came up! The hermit crab that I accidently dug up, finally came up on his own! He is so beautiful and his color is way more vibrant then I have ever seen it. He is safe and sound thank god. Thanks to everyone who gave me advice.

He came up! I haven’t really seen it yet, because he loves to dig, so one second he will be on top of the sand and the next he is under. I picked him up last night and he looks remarkably smaller! I have one hermit who has been in my tank since I have gotten it, and he likes to climb all around the ridge if the black plastic part on the top of the tank, and the wire of the hermit heater. He is a great active hermit. The only sad thing is, is that I have one hermit who is just sitting in the corner, and sits there all day and night. He isn’n all the way in his shell, he is out like he would be walking but he just stays there. He is under my 2nd story so I can;t get to him. Is he okay?

He came up! Well hermit crabs can have a favorite spot to hide or sit in during the day but, at night they should be moving around. Have you checked on him at say 2 in the morning when you have had all the lights off?
