 Molting question

hey guys, i have had my crabs for a little over a year now, and they have never molted, is this usual? it doesn’t say anything about it in any of the books i have read or any of the info i can find online. just wondering. in case you want to know, my enclosure is a 10 gallon aquarium, with the heat about 90 and the humidity at 80-85

 Molting question

How deep is your substrate? t should be moist and twice as high as your tallest crab. My crabs seems to like to molt (as well as many others on a different forum) is moist eco earth. My largest purple pincher went under for a quick and very easy molt, ut since he was fresh from the pet store he lost some color. The temp seems a little to high and you might want to bring it down by ten. How hot it it under the substrate? It might be way to hot if you are heating it from below. If you want to give them good color they should be givin carrots as they help color up. Also cuttlebone and eggshell help make strong exos as well. The humidity should be fine though it is a little high. What size are they? If they are mediums or smaller they should need to molt now and it would be safe to say larger crabs would need to molt in the near future.

 Molting question

it sounds like i need more substrate. i will add some this afternoon. the heater is on the side, but they do sit on top of my beardie enclosure, so the heat stays pretty sonsistent. i am going to unplug the heater and moniter the temp... 3 are fairly small, and i think the other 2 may be considered mediums. have never tried carrots, but they do get greens and fruit. they also get a calcium supplement and have a piece of cuttlebone in the enclosure. thanks.
