 My first crabby!

Hi everyone! Im glad to say that Im the happy owner of a cute hermit crab that I named Kibbie ! But I have 2 questions, I bought her yesterday. She seems OK, she walks around ant tries to climb the walls and sometimes I have the feeling that she really stares at me! Anyway, these are my questions:

1- I don’t want to rush her, but when do you think I sould try to handler her? Should I give her a few more days?

2-Im planning to get more of them (unfortunatly, she was the only survivor left in her tank) but I would like to know what is the minimum space required for 1? Because I only have a terrarium of 12 X 12 X 12 inches. So how much should I have in this tank?

1. it should be ok to handle it as long as it is not down in the sand if it is its destresing or molting

2.hermit crabs do not like to be alone they like to have more hermits with them so you would probaly need a ten gallon tank with 2 or 3 other hermit crabs including her

You do neeed more than 1 you shold keep them in pairs or have a community of hermies....the digging problem is nothing to worry about BUT DONT DIG THE HERMIE UP what ever you do your hermie is most likely molting. let hermie come out on its own. give it alot of time...
