She was 58 grams when I got her. Before her last meal she was 466. I recently upgraded her to a 12" water dish because if I filled the 10" dish deep enough to drink it would overflow when she climbed in. But when I first got her, she could use a peanut butter lid! May, 2007

Long explanation She went from 528 to 576 yesterday, and was chewing at the inside of her feeding bucket looking for another mouse! And, yes, in case there’s one internet nerd with a calculator saying "But that’s not right for three hoppers!"... you’re sort of right. I weigh them for sorting purposes while they’re dry, but I don’t bother drying them after I thaw them, so in the process of thawing them, then weighing them, and then weighing them plus the snake, some water weight gets figured in too. But since they all end up the same way, it’s a working system. |
