I’ve never heard about toads for sale except maby on faunaclassifieds.com try buying him one toad and mice, killing the toad and scenting the mice with the toads. hope this helps

H. platirhinos are a pain to keep on toads. I choose to feed toads. It can be done, you just have to stock up on em. I usually buy mine off of KS. Im out right now and have tried anoles to no avail. If your snake is cooled, you should be alright for some time, atleast till spring. Mine have fed once in a few months with no weight loss. Im expecting to get some from my guy, Ill let you know if he has extra.
