  caught baby horny toad need help

i caught a baby horny toad yesterday i dont know if i should keep him or not. Very tiny about an inch long iv ben feeding him red ants. But i dont know much about these guy so can anybody help me

well i can tell you that he wont live for long,he will probably just die unless you let him go but im not realy sure that is what has happened to all of mine.

Read some of the other messages from people I have dealt with here in similar situations. Without a good bit of reptile experience, you should not even touch these things. Even feeding him the wrong ants could kill him, and very small baby Horned Lizards sometimes can’t even take ants, and need to forage for smaller prey.
His/her best chances are if you release it right in the same spot you found him. It has to be the same spot, because that is the home range where he/she was born. Release it about same time of day too so it does not overheat or get to cold to move and ends up being a target. I’’m sure you found it in the morning or evening.
