 Horned Lizard + Squirting Blood With Eye

Has anyone been squirted by the eye of their Horned Lizard? Eww? Lol. Im watching Animal Planet as I type this and it says Horned Lizards can squirt blood from their eye when in danger.

I was once by one I picked up in the wild. She squirted blood on my hand. They usually do this to dogs, coyotes, etc.

Hahaha! These things are everywhere back home. They’re protected in Texas, technically...
I’ve never been squirted by one, but I’ve seen them get our dog before!
