Anyone else have CHE problems??
I am about ready to go MAD!!! I used a 150 ZooMed CHE for 1 year with no problems. The people who had Eisa before even used it!! When it went out I bought a 250 ZooMed and upgraded the hood. It blew within 6 mos. Also burn out the hood. So I went back down to a 150 ZooMed and dang it, it just went out also. This time only after 1 month! I know its the CHE cause I tested it on one of his basking hoods. I always buy the right wttage hood and always porcelian sockets, do its not that. What do I do? Anyone else had problems with CHE’S and what did you do about it? I do need one in the winter-we live in Maine. THanks y’all!!!

Anyone else have CHE problems?? I would contact the company and see what they say, they might replace it for free. I’ve never use one of those before, (CHE) I just use the blue nightlight bulbs at night, and ZooMed 100wt basking light during the day....

most ligt bulbs are gauranteed for 6-12 months. if any of my bulbs break to soon I just take it bake to the petco or petstore and they replace it. that why I never buy my bulbs online.

Anyone else have CHE problems?? Eisa has been in a large dog kennel for the past 2 years. Mesh sides so we needed a CHE, but...we are moving him upstairs for this winter to a spare bedroom, where the radiator stays on all the time(we can’t turn it off util we tear out the cupboards) Also, he is finally big enough to take the plastic mesh off the sides and acutally break down the cage to move it. Next summer we will be building a permament cage in the sunroom, where he has been living. And even then we will need a CHE cause it has hardwood floors that have a draft and very cold Maine winters. I am going to check on sending the CHE back to zoomed, I kept the receipt. Thanks y’all.

This is the cage in our old apartment. You can see the plastic mesh shadows secured with zip ties so he wouldn’t get thru-and the board on the bottom.
