Glad they’re not poisonous

I read the messages awhile back where someone thought that igs are poisonous. My younger ig is still in the "not liking the taming" phase and bit my cheek this morning!!! Funny, I don’t think it was a love bite!(ha,ha,ha,ha,....)

My iguana is pretty tame, but I still never would give him an opportunity to take a bite at my face.PE |

Don’t lay them on their back...it is not good for them. They can pass out that way.

You can hold them upright or lean them back as long as their head is still kind of upright. I’ve heard it has something to do with pressure on their brain. It’s probably best to be safe and not sorry I’m thinking. I think that is why they appear calm when this is done.

the same thing is true of alligators, although (I learned this at alligator adventures in S.C.) it is because their brain is smaller than the brain cavity and it floats. So, when you turn them upside down their brain moves!!! weird.
