 MONEY MONEY MONEY

so i was walkin with gaston on my shoulder( who loves to be outside and in the car now) and this elderly guy says hey buddy is that an iguana. i come over and say yea. come to find out he has a 4 foot female....good.

the bad...he recently switched her diet to those packaged salad things from the market. i told him about foods she should be eating and all that jazz lol. the ugly

the ugly...he never has taken her out of her cage. im goin by today to see what kind of condition she is in. but he also said he would pay me for clipping her nails every week. thats where the money comes in lol. i hope shes not bad but she is probably gonna be super pissed. by the way he has had her for 4 years

thay is so frickin horrible. Anybody who treats his iguana like that dosen’t deserve to own one. Good Job what you are doing. Keep it up.

thats how my iguana was the old owners first gave her MBD cuase they did not know how to take care. and then never took her out of her cage.
i adopted her last year in september shes about 4 years old now.
im working with her

well im happy to say that the guy isnt evil just scared and uninformed. since our meeting he has had his ig on collards. he said he didnt feed her alot cuz he didnt wanna over feed. i jus said feed as much as she wants until she stops. he also didnt have any uvb so i said take her out for about an hour a day. i drove by and they were in the yard. she is more active and is a little more green. she was all yellow and orange before. he now knows how to handle her. and she seems to trust her but gets aggrivated after too much handlin(20 mins or so) but i guess that comes from 6 years of feeding her. i think she is gonna be ok tho.

he also said if he found that he had to give her up he would give her to me. i wouldnt mind shes a sweet heart. and her and gaston lay on each other and eat in his yard when i come by. but we monitor them and thats the only time they are together

Well that’s good.So you can substitute UVB with an hour of sun a day? I usually keep my iggy out for 2-3 hours and he loves it.So how was she with the nail clipping?

her nails were rediculously long

she didnt really have anything to climb on for 6 years so she has what shiftylarry was talkin about -- her toes curve to the side....they shouldnt be like that at all. but it went good. she was pretty calm....she did try to eat my green wrist band tho...

Aw, poor girl.That must’ve been uncomfortable.My iggy’s still small and I still have to clip his nails almost 3 times a month.That must suck with a large iggy but at least she’s getting it done.Heh, that’s why I don’t wear green when I hold Diamond.He will try to eat it.I bring him in the store by where I live and we almost got kicked out today because he jumped in their vegetable aisle and started eating all of their collards...and my shirt. :D

yea im guessin she was only tryin to eat somethin. they were only feeding her a half plate of food each serving. oh wow. my grocery guy loves to have gaston in the store. how nig is your ig? how long have you had him?
