About your cage... iggs need A LOT of covering and from what I see, your on a good start but I would go to Wal-mart and go to the flower fake section..yeah, the crafts area..and look for long thick vines.. like a fake silky feeling with real big leaves. Pretty cheap 5-10 bucks maybe. And get a good amount of them. Get a couple nails and drill into the wood side and put the vines across so he can venture. He def needs those soon cuz it makes them feel safe!! I made some ladders out of real bamboo and he sits on them all day under his basking light. I would put more shelves in there also..not just one more. I would maybe make like a shelf step downer thing..lol! Kinda like how Pocochu has in her new white pvc enclosure..see how they go down so the iggs can go up and down and also have the luxury of the branches too? Just thought I’d help..oh and I’d invest in a humidifier like you said soon, cuz I know that if you dont have one, it can mess up their growth...myguy is having issues with that. yeah my mom promised me we would go and get him vines and flowers for his cage. Heres the scoop on my branches. Everyone knows by now on one foot he has 1 finger and no nail on it. His other foot has 3 nails. so its very hard for him to "venture" So my dog and myself go for walks everyday in the woods/field by my house. I have added more too his cage. IDK if I wanna put more shelves in. He seems to be fine now. but...... i did add a few more branches and things lke that. As for the humidifier. my dad promised me that but my parents promises r as good as Sh** They have this thing where if i want something i buy it. So idk. But the cage is getting more and more additions as time goes by. p.s. Chris Lauren and Pocochu. You 3 have helped me out more than anyone could ever do. I want to thank all of you gals/guy for everything. King is very happy and living the life. Thank you.  |

You can get a humidifier at Walgreens for 20 bucks or less. So it’s not biggie. However, you don’t need to buy one to have high humidity. You just need better insulation Maybe build a seal box on top of the screen top so that the heat and moisture doesn’t escape. As for the side vent, cover all of it, but the bottom quarter. you can experiment with the amount of vent exposed to get the right temps and humidity. I would also add some shady hides so that he can cool down if necessary. Cheers -Chris |
