 I Have Become A Foster Mom...........

Well I went to the pet store today to get my WD’s some bugs and they have this poor little iggy and Javier (the store manger) told me he didn’t know what more he could do for him.....He said this lady brought him in the store about a week ago because her son wasn’t taking care of him...This poor little thing was covered in mites..skinny and I do mean skinny there is no meat on him at all.....Well Javier took care of his mites but he wouldn’t eat and he said he just didn’t have the time to spend with him to try and nurse him back to health.....So I said I would come in the store and take care of him and try to get him back on his feet..so he said how about I send everything home with you lights, tank, bulbs well any thing I needed he sent home with me.....

Well it’s going to be a hard long road...so hopefully I can save this little guy.....I brought him home and gave him a warm bath (which he loved) and fed him a little food from the syringe and he ate it up...I didn’t want to give him too much and over load his system......The poor thing has scars all over him from the mites, he’s got MBD I’m going to test him for worms tomorrow if he poops for me.....

I named him Oliver because he reminds me of "Oliver Twist" the orphan boy who didn’t have a home...

Thanks guys, I tell you the pictures make him look good......I was crying today when I was taking care of him today..I just can’t believe that people are so cruel to let a poor little animal get this bad...It just makes me soooooo MAD

Well I could tell he was feel better today b/c he tried to bite and whip me...LOL.....He did eat on his own for me...He likes my iggy salad.....I’m pretty sure he’s a male his pores a large and has a waxy plug in them...I’m going measure and weigh him tonight.........
