 More pics of Rex...or should I say Rexie!

Well since my last post I’m talking to Rex as a female haha I haven’t decided the name yet because Rex doesn’t fit for a female and Rexie is good but here in Mexico Rexie is still a boys name haha. I’m thinking to call her Athena or Saori.

But anyway here are some pics of my iguana....Rex, Rexie, Athena, or Saori doesn’t matter how you want to call her.








As you can see I intended to make a little pool but It turned out to be a bathroom





What do you think, I think she looks big hehe.

SHE looks really good Dany....Gosh she has gotten so big....You know she might be gravid? Do you have a vet you can take her to?

Pocochu: Yes I have a vet and actually I’m thinking the same but I think she is too young to be gravid yet, she is one year and two months old but in the first pic looks reaaally fat which made me think the same as you but when she wakes up all skinny looking for food it doesn’t look gravid at all.
She is eating a lot and some of the symptoms of a gravid female is that they star to eat less right?.

Well maybe I can go to the vet just to make sure hehe.

i know she look very fat and big and I think I’m doing a good job lol.

Dany you are doing a WONDERFUL job with her...she looks great......Well I didn’t think Squiggy my female was old enough either and she was gravid with eggs.....she reabsored them but it wouldn’t hurt to have an xray done just to make sure....You don’t want an eggbound iggy......

Wow, now that you tell me what happened with Squiggy I’m going to take her to the vet this week or next week but I’m definitely going to the vet for some X-rays.

Dany,

You have a beautiful girl there. Good luck with the vet visit and I do hope that she is just plump :) I personally would not change her name at this point. I am sure she has gotten used to it if you say it often. My son played it safe with Sam although he hears "Oh Ma" or Mommy’s baby more then he hears me say Sam :)

Yes your probably right about the name but actually I never called her Rex that much I call her "dude" (wey in Mexico) more often hahaha but I don’t know about the name yet, the fact that she is probably gravid worries me very much because I’m new to all these gravid thing but I agree with you, lets hope that she is just plump.

Right now she has been hiding for about 3 hours in her hiding place that is made with some fake plants and I’m scared but maybe it’s just me that I’m worrying too much because I care for her that much.

Anyway thank you guys and I’ll keep you posted.

Dany,

I tend to worry over everything so I do understand, Maybe make her a nesting box as Pocochu(Annie) did for her Squiggy and do try and get Rexie aka Dude:) to a vet asap. I pray all will be okay.

Thank you very much, when I look pictures of her I can’t believe how much she’s grown.

I remember the post when i had some problems with her growth but now she is very big hehe.
