i know this is the iggie site, but i am not getting a response on the beardie site, and i am getting impatient... my baby beardie ate a bird feather while playing on the floor. can this cause impaction? if so should i use mineral oil to help her pass it, and if so, how much? my vet will be open in the morning and i can drive to seattle if i need to. just not sure what to do... any advice will be greatly appreciated!!!

I’d just give him a few drops of mineral oil...It may take a couple days, hopefully it won’t get hung up on any thing inside there....Give him warm baths too.....

Oh gosh guys this thread went weaird haha. Glad everyone is ok though. I have read your other post on the beardie forum fire4life. If the feather didnt have a hard stem in the middle it should go through nicely. The mineral oil will make his track nice and oily..and he might get diahreha. So... I would see if he poops today or soon. The baths wil help the movement and you can give him a drop of the mineral oil if you feel he is impacted feeling. His tummy should have a hard bulge if he is. He also wont be moving much..so keep a close eye on him please! Good luck
