Oh Brother, Where Art Thou? lol hi. i posted in response to you in the lizards general forum a few minutes ago. so i noticed you finally named the little one, no more "little acorn head" lol. i like the name Ray Ray. thats a nice pic, is he/she just sitting there on a towel rack? is she getting pretty calm when you take her out? im still deciding on a name on the little bro, im thinking Ness/Nessie or Cupid.

Oh Brother, Where Art Thou? Yeah, she’s just sittin’ on the towel rack. For some reason both igs seem to seek out Rob’s towel and sit there regardless of which towel he uses or which rack. She still hates hands in her cage, but calms down as soon as I catch her. She DOES poop on me at least once if not twice every time she comes out, but likes being out none the less. I’ve noticed that she even drastically "leans in" to whichever side I am petting her on kind of like a cat, and when I tried to put her back into her home today she wanted to stay on my hand and be pet some more. I held out as long as I could, but when my arm started to fall asleep I had to make her get off!You can’t tell from that pic, but she is fattening up quickly too. Her stomach is always fat, and her tail filled out to where you can no longer see the bone-line anymore. We figure if she’s actually a she, we can always say her name is Raya. If She’s a he, he’ll be "big Ray over there on the couch..." How’s her brother doin’?

Oh Brother, Where Art Thou? pretty good. he’s def fattening up and is a little longer. i wanted to wait a while before handling him. ive only held him once while changing his paper towels (usually i just change them with him in there, he moves from one side to the other). he wasnt happy about being held that one time. for the past couple days he seems to be much calmer, he was really freaking out for a a little while. when i put his food bowl in he hops of his hide and runs towards the bowl, even with my hand still in there. but ive already decided that tommorow (he’s sleepin now) will begin his daily handling exercises! i wanted to make sure he had plenty of time to get used to things first, but i think i could of started a few days ago. im getting excited now that your little guy loves to be petted so much. that is so cool. i’ll get some better pics soon, ones when he’s out, i think the lights in the cage kind of washes out his color in photos. oh, and i bought a zoomed rheostat a few days ago, it is awesome. i don’t have to worry about his basking spot getting a little to high anymore, it stays at 100-105 all the time now. this was the only cage ive ever had a little trouble getting the exact basking spots i wanted.

Oh Brother, Where Art Thou? I originally was going to give her a little longer, but a few days ago she went CRAZY when I tried to clean up her dried food she’d scattered (I wasn’t going to change the paper, just clean it up a bit, and she doesn’t do that when we feed her/change her water). I was afraid she’d hurt herself and Rob wasn’t home, so I caught her and held her the whole time I changed her papers 1-handed. She liked watching me do this from my hand because I wasn’t looking AT her. She calms down drastically once in my hand (then & more now), and even more within a couple minutes (and like I said LOVES being pet on her back). She was enjoying her towel sitting while I took her picture because I was "doing things" and not just staring at her.Good to hear her brother’s doing well, and let me know what happens once you start handling!

Oh Brother, Where Art Thou? Lizardking’s baby rhino is my baby rhino’s brother, that’s why she’s saying "I miss you" to HER brother... It was kind of a joke, and I knew he’d get it. We both got our babies from the same clutch and are first time cyclura owners, so I like to know how it’s going for him and compare notes.
