Need Advice On Care/Sexing/Caging
I need advice on how to find out what sex my Green Iguana is, it is about 2 feet 5 inches, and I still can not get it to clam down. What is the best way to tam a Green Iguana, and what is the best enclosure. I have had Frankie,(my Iguana) now for 2 months, and it has grown a foot. Also how do I tell its age. CTownCass04@aol.com

Need Advice On Care/Sexing/Caging Hello, well at that age you can’t really tell.... I own two babies 6 1/2 & 7 1/2 months old... the smaller one(16 & 3/4") has spikes the same height as the larger one(21").... so I think the larger is a female and the smaller is a male but am not sure... it doesnt matter to me anyways as I AM NOT breeding them, I just handled my babies about six times a day for ten minutes each time and they are tame... I now hold them three times a day for five/ten minutes each and they are still tame... they will both eat from my hands and don’t whip tehre tails or bite.... my advice is just to move slowly when aproching them and then just pick em’ up and hold them several times daily, a homemade cage for any adult should be at the very lest 6x6x2 and no smaller 8x6x3 would be much better if you had the room.
