 Adult coloring?

I take it that the adults turn mostly brown and gray, with only a bit of green on the stomach/tail?

 Adult coloring?

The color of an adult iguana can be quite varied, depending on health, locality, and time of year. Here are photos of some of the different appearances.

Squig, male, off season

Miggs, male, in season

Mickey, unusual color male

Olive, female, out of season

 Adult coloring?

Just wondering, the one in the first picture is a rescue right? It looks like the tail is missing and some fingers. Looks great though! GJ if it was one.

Every one of those iguanas were rescues. Squig came to us at 7 years of age and suffering from MBD and some kidney failure, plus he had some major tail infection going on. We did have to amputate all but 8 inches of his tail. He lived with us for 2 wonderful years before the kidney and liver disease took him away. Miggs was adopted into a terrific home and is well loved. Mickey was found in a dumpster and rescue by someone that was a poor caregiver. By the time he fell into our hands he had major health issues going on. He stayed with us for 2 years also before systemic problems took his life. Olive was found in a condemned apartment after it had been abandoned for 3 weeks. She is one of our most dramatic rescues. Before and after photos of her can be seen in the Skinny Iguana thread.

Thanks for the nice comment.
