Simple question about wood sealer for cage...  Hey, I made my cage(its not a full size cage just an larger baby pen for now) anywho I need to know what kind of wood sealer to get, how much it would be aprox and how long I need to leave it to dry before putting my iguanan in.

Simple question about wood sealer for cage...  I would try to use a poly (it will be waterbased and seem the least toxic) I’ve used a minwax brand one in a blue can.It will take longer to dry if you live in a humid area. When you can no longer smell fumes it will be safe to use but error on the side of waiting longer.

I got the best brand they had I belive its called smith something not too sure, it says it takes 48 hours to dry... if it goes below 50 f it will get sticky it says..... where the heck am I gonig to do this then? lol I only have teh gargae... I’d do it in the back yard but my dog would tear it apart before it dryed.

You can tent it up with an old blanket or plastic drop cloth.Then what you do is put any extra heat you can on it.A space heater works great use a fan to move the air around and it will cure up pritty fast.Just do it when you have time to moniter it for safty.Should take a day to not be tacky then you can take the heat off and let it air out .
