Excited! Congratulations! You finally decided on a rhino(saw your postings on kingsnake too)!Where did you get him from, and what kind of set up do you have? I’m sure you know I got my little one a few weeks ago from the St. Pierre’s... He/she’s doing well so far and growing VERY fast! If you want I can forward you the info the breeder gave me about care. It’s a long email, so if you give me an email address I’ll send it to you along with notes on what we’ve done that differs from their suggestions. Congrats again! P.S.- I suggest you check your tracking # now to make sure it’s correct. My baby was supposed to arrive between 10 & 11 am, but didn’t show up till 12:45 and the track # was wrong, so I was starting to freak out and think she was lost in the mail. I called the breeder in a panic and they gave me the right #, so I knew she was on her way even though she was late (UPS driver missed us and passed the package to another driver!).

(I have to sneak in a new pic any chance I get...LOL!)

Excited! Adorable picture! I got mine from a breeder on repti-bid. He’s a really nice guy. The only problem I had was he shipped USPS... I’m not sure if I trust that. But he did use a 40-hour heat pack. I’m a little worried, but at least the tracking number is right. I’d love to get the care info. My e-mail is kittensnjunk@hotmail.com. I believe I posted the measurements of the set up on kingsnake, I can’t remember them off the top of my head. But I plan on building a much larger enclosure later. It will look really nice. Can’t wait until he is big enough to do some free-roaming!Well, I wont be sleeping tonight. I’ll be too excited. Ah, well my sleeping habits are pretty bad these days anyway.

Excited! I sent you the entire email from Stella, though I don’t choose to follow all of her instructions. It is helpful none the less, and you can take/leave whatever you choose (like I did). I am NOT RECOMMENDING that you follow ALL of her instructions, but the St. Pierre’s are reputable breeders, and produce healthy cared-for animals even if we disagree with them about certain things. My notes are the sentences starting with an asterisk (*)and hopefully separated by 2 lines either side. I hope it comes through correctly so you don’t have to try to figure out where my notes end. The one thing I forgot to add in was that we feed a similar mix of greens to what she suggests, but add in mustard & collard greens as well. We started adding a little bit of squash after a couple days and this seemed to help her to fatten up.Good luck & try to get some sleep tonight!

Excited! That’s some good info. Thanks for sharing! I have their diet down pretty well. I just went shopping before I read that and I got all of the right things... Except I’m not so sure about the whole spinach thing...

Excited! Spinach is OK to use occasionally but should not be a staple. Stick with Collards, Mustard, Turnip, Dandelion, and Chickory (endive) as staples.
