Going to the bathroom My Iguana didn’t go to the bathroom for 2 weeks. I took him to the newspapers before and he never went. So now he finally went and it was filled with blood. He has bled before when he has gone to the bathroom. I had taken him to the vets and they gave him tests and said he didn’t have a stone. They gave him different types of medicines but i don’t think it really did anything and he just stopped bleeding and then it was a little bit once in awhile when he went to the bathroom. But this time I am concerned because there was more blood and I don’t know if it’s normal for an iguana to hold it for 2 weeks. I know that they don’t go everyday but 2 weeks is a long time. Has anyone else had their Iguana take 2 weeks to go to the bathroom? I’m not sure if I should bring him back to the vets again.

Going to the bathroom bring him to the vet immediately...if you don’t trust the last experience with your vet, try a different one (2nd opinion of sorts). Try to be sure that they have a good deal of experience treating reptiles if you can’t find one that specializes. Good luck, and I hope everything turns out ok.
