Your Squiggy looks about the same age as my Beauregard (handsome in French). I was trying to find out some information about the dorsal crest, I thought Beau’s spines are looking flat with no structure. I thought they were used to have some meatness to them. Does Squiggy spines seem hollow or flat? Also, something else I notices a couple of weeks ago he broke off a toe nail, then to night I noticed that he has worn down a nail off a toe that looked crooked or broken and the nail was turned under and looked bad when we got him in April. Have you had any experience with that? Let me know, I really apreciate it. Nicki

Hi Nicki, Welcome to the forum...

I didn’t want to hijack Deamon Post so I started a new one for you...About the spikes do you mean laying down flat if so that could be a sign of dehydration.....Squiggy’s spikes are thin their not fat.....

Now about the claw I’m not really sure what you are talking about is there any way you can post a picture of it so I can get a better idea of what you are talking about...It would be a great help....

Ok, first no freak out, our house is in major renovation, so there’s lots of hazards around. Beau is never out of his enclosure unless we are watching him. Once the house is finished, he’l get more roaming freedom.
Sorry, I couldn’t get my pictures to upload. I’ll try Fox fire or take them to work and try there.

STILL HAVING TROUBLE DOWN LOADING PICTURES. TALKED TO MY DAUGHTER WHO HAS EXPERIENCE WORKING IN PET SHOPS, SHE MENTIONED ADDING A HUMIDIFIER TO THE ENCLOSURE AND DISTILLING HIS DRINKING WATER. THANKS

I am trying to down load pictures again. Here’s a couple, I think he looks a little thin and his spikes (dorcel crest) seems flatter.

Oh yeah, don’t freak about all the dangerous stuff in the pictures, we are renovating and we don’t let Beau out unless we can watch him. Thanks

Thanks - he’s a little boogered up right now, he’s been climbing him cage door then dropping down 4 or 5ft to the floor. he’s skinned his mouth on the rough texture of the wall. My daughter suggested blocking his access to the screened door with plexi glass, it’s worked well for that and keep more moisture in the enclosure. So hopefully it heals fast.
