iggys are almost like a human, each one is different. it sounds like your friend with the nice iggy took better care of it than the other. they are very pricy pets, and ive noticed pretty demanding with their needs. remember, they will grow to an adult size of almost 6ft. a proper enclosre for a reptile this big would be the size of your bedroom. they constantly have to have fresh veggies and fruit, frozen stuff isnt good for them. vet bills are a pain in the behind...and i could go on and on...and ive only had mine for 2 months. lol

but if you do get one, lots of time, attention, and care are needed. if properly cared for, these reptiles will actually seek human affection like a cat or dog. mine spazzes when i walk in my room cuz she wants to come out. lol

best of luck

Hi ballpython27,

Iggy ’s can be a lot of fun...but there are iggy’s out there that make great pets and some don’t...Yes they can be VERY aggressive mainly around breeding season..The males can be unbearable sometimes and females too..I have 6 iggys and you just learn their moods and bear with it, someday’s you just need to leave them alone for a few days and not mess with them at all..except for food and water...My oldest female can be REALLY moody..I just let her have her time and space and leave her alone..Iggys are a BIG responsibility..so just think long and hard and do a lot of research before you make your decision.......And if you have any questions please feel free to ask............

Like everyone elso basically said, iguana’s are like dogs. some can be mean, biting jerks and some can be lovable companions. They need lots of attention.
