Puff’s new cage is finished!!! :)

I just finished Puff’s new cage. I think he likes it so far, it’s 3ft by 4 ft and 5 ft high. At first I held him and got in the cage and let him go explore his new house when he felt like it, lol. There’s even a shelf with his half log and salad and a ferret hammock and he would rather hang out on the sides, lol. Thats ok whatever he likes to do. Here are a few pics of it, if I’m missing anything or have any good ideas let me know, hehe.

Here are a few different pics

The piece of wood that isn’t covered with carpet is ok I could rub my hands on it all day and it wouldn’t do anything, it’s very smooth. I got a digital hygrometer and it says the humidity is only 39%, would a humidifier help until I can find a mister? He does get daily baths also. The temp at the top is 92F and the bottom is 80F. I’m waiting until he goes potty to see where the paper towels go, even though there are 2 water dishes he hasn’t been doing so well on the potty training lately so I’ll wait to see if he has a corner of choice, lol.

Well, after an hour of the humidifier being on and I have a plastic rubbermaid lid on top of it to direct it towards the cage and two full spray bottles I got the humidity up to 70%, hehe. I’m a little worried he hasn’t gone to the bottom at all. I had to put his salad on the shelf but it dries out fast. I know he still has to get used to it though. I am glad that he is more calm, I can get in the cage and pet him and he likes it. In the old cage I’d open it and it would startle him, lol.

I keep a warm mist humidifier on all the time in Ziggys room. It stays nice and humid if ya keep the room door shut. I was afraid to put any carpet in Ziggys cage for fear of ingesting any kind of fibers.
Ziggy was in his house for a week before I ever saw him on the floor. I knew he was going down there, I just never saw him.
Puff`s new house looks really good. He looks very happy in his pic.

Thanks for the comments everyone :) Puff has only been in the cage for 2 days and he started shedding again already, must be a good sign, hehe. I’m just so happy to have the cage together and see Puff really happy, as opposed to just regular happy, lol. It was perfect timing too, the day before I had everything to put in the cage he started the nose rubbing on the side of his old cage. I want more plants in there, maybe I’ll just make it a point to buy a new vine or flower every time I go to the store, hehe. And I did get a warm mist humidifier and I spray and spray...but the hygrometer will rise to about 60 and drop slowly... I can’t afford plexiglass, any other ideas on keeping humidity in??
