DEHYDRATION I need help dealing with an iguana that I think is dehydrated, he eats and I spray his food with water, and offer him fresh water(which he drinks). I only think he is dehydrated becuase he has flaps of extra skin around his belly, his arms and legs. I am asking you guys for advice before I take him to the vet.

DEHYDRATION What you can do now is bath him, put him a bath tub with about an inch or so of water depending on his size as the water shouldnt come up further then his shoulders, be sure to put decloranter in the water and sit him in, be sure he doesnt jump out, soak him for about twenty minutes, spray him & his cage several times daily.

DEHYDRATION I put ReptiSafe water conditioner in my ig’s water; you could try that. It helps add electrolytes and gets rid of chloramines and such.

DEHYDRATION Take a fresh stool sample to the vet to check for parasites.Soak in warm water tub along with the other things you are now doing. Make sure he gets plenty of greens to eat. What is his diet? Do you have a uvb light?
