Help!! Dying iguana??
My iguana hasnt eaten much of anything in around 4 days. She’s always been picky, but even when i put some kale in there last night (usually one of her favorite things) she didnt touch it. I found her curled up around a piece of wood this morning, looking dead from the way she was splayed out. She opened her eyes when i tapped on the glass (shes young and still fairly wild, so i cant just reach in there yet), but its been about half an hour and she still hasnt moved. I think she might also be dehydrated, but i’m not sure. What can I do to help her, or am i just panicking for no reason?

Help!! Dying iguana?? Well the first thing I would do is to get your guy to the vet if it is dehydrated then that is not good but for right now you can mist your guy so he/her can get some water and humidity in the enclosure. Kale is not the best thing to feed try collar greens and some mustard greens with some butternut squash. What is the heat in the enclosure? What is the Basking spot temp? What is the humidity in the enclosure? Do you have a UVB lamp? How old do you think your guy is? How big is your guy? What type of enclosure? For some one to help you need a little more information and maybe someone can give you some good advice. But if it was me I would get it to the vet asap!

She seems normal now..
She’s up now. I just got back from work and shes sitting on a piece of wood now, instead of wrapped around one. Still hasnt eaten anything though, not even the kale. Shes very picky about eating, i can only get her to eat dandelion greens, mustard greens, and kale. Kale was all i had on hand then that i knew shed eat (there were collard greens, zuccini and yellow squash there last night as well). Midori’s tank is at about 79 on the cool side, and her basking spot is at 86. The enclosure is a 30 gal, tall tank. I dont have a UVB lamp there right now, I’m going to get one when i can. I got Midori at a fair (i had to get one; they looked so bad in that cramped cage, they were feeding them LETTUCE of all things!) about 3-4 months ago, i’m guessing she might be close to a year, maybe? Something like that. I"m guessing shes about 4-6" from nose to vent, and her tail may add another 8" or so. I dont have a humidity gauge in there, so i’m not sure. I usually mist about once a day. Her nose is completely white from her salt deposits; is that normal or is that an excessive amount of salt on her nose? And any feeding suggestions are VERY welcome!! I’ve tried the pellets, carrots, squash, zuccini, cucumber, bread, a couple kinds of fruit, and collard greens, and she hasnt touched ANY of the above. She will eat dandelion greens, kale, and mustard greens.

She seems normal now.. YOu need to get a uv light asap! If you ig is from the fair, who knows how long it’s been since she’s had UV light? She will get MBD w/o it and it sounds like she is weak already. Up your basking spot temp a little as well and take a fresh fecal to the vet. Brush the snalt (slang term) off her nose. They do that to cool off or to rid their body of excess salt.
