Iguanas and mirrors the other day, Iggy was roaming about the living room when he/she spotted his refection in the mirror. he started clawing at it and jumping at the mirror! is this behavior something i can use to determine what sex my ig is? i have one of those that looks like a male female mix!

Iguanas and mirrors I’ve had both male and female iguanas display at their reflections ... so I don’t think that it’s the best way to determine your iguana’s sex. It’s pretty fun to watch, though!

Iguanas and mirrors My last male would display and get very pale and upset. It is best not to let them see their reflection if they get too upset or violent. Sleestack is very strange and has no reaction whatsoever. He has reacted to other live iguanas so he almost seems to know it’s not real.
