How big/old does a green ig have to be for you to have to cut its nails?

i am not sure if this is correct but this is what i have heard and if i am wrong please somebody correct me i have also read it in books you shouldn’t clip their nails because they use them to climb

Don’t clip them to short, but you can clip the very tips off at any age really. I do it as soon as I’m getting too cut up!

When I took my ig to the vet for the amputatioin she got her nails clipped. shes only 6 months old at most. So, its ok to do it now, i suggest have a pro do it. U dont want to hurt your ig.

Have to be very careful about cutting iguans nails as you can kill them if you cut them wrong but hitting their artery in their nails. www.google.com and look up safe ways to do it.
