Iguana gone mad need help!
Well it’s really not my ig, it’s my sister in law’s ig (male, 13 month old). Since she changed his enclosure for a larger one, he became very territorial and aggressive(tail whipping, biting, doing his head bob and poses). She didn’t really used to interact with him and she would always play loud music near the enclosure. He is really not developing as fast as it should be for his age. His diet is a healthy one, its just he will not calm down, what should she do about her male ig? is there a way to tame him or make him calm down? or is there no hope? help

It really depends on how fed up the poor thing is I found with some IGs once they decide not to tolerate humans anymore they will never again unless there are drastic changes made. One other thing to think about it this,if the IG knows you are afraid of it it will own you, don’t let it get the best of you the bite doesn’t hurt until they get (tip to tip) about 3 feet then it begins to hurt and after that we are talking stiches so I would recommend taking the bites now and making some changes in how it is kept.Tony

Iguana gone mad need help! Well, if 13 months have past its gonna be hard, but she needs to hold him at least once a day and not let him back in his cage till he calms down. If he acts up alot, just pick him up and make sure he realizes being agressive is not the way to be. It takes at least a year for this process to complete. Also, the ig is under stress from music which is very unhealthy for igs. Destroy to boom box.
