HELP!!! Romaine lettuce has no nutritional value really should be feeding him things such as collard greens, dandelion greens, mustard greens, green beans, squash, etc. Make sure he has a uvb light it’s essential for them and their growth. As mentioned the cage is too small but you seem to be already working on that. I personally like solid substrates compared to loose it’s easier to clean and you don’t risk impacting the iguana if it accidentally ingests it. There’s a new iguana owners posts that’s packed full of everything you’d pretty much need to know about iguanas it’s found at the top of the threads but I’ll bump it up anyways for you to read. Look over the food chart and get the staples listed on there.
Good luck with your igyy if you have anymore questions make sure to ask.

HELP!!! You’ve got some good advice so far. The Green Iguana Society page has good diet information.
I highly recommend two books. Iguanas for Dummies by Melissa Kaplan and Green Iguana: The Ultimate Owners Manual by James Hatfield.
