Hello all I am new to this site and in need of some advise desperately. I have had my iguana, Izzy, since she was 6 months old, she is now about 2.5 and we are having some issues. A few months ago she became gravid and her eggs never fully developed so she became egg bound. After trying all that we could the vet said she needed to have surgery to remove the eggs and her ovaries. So at this point she is not very happy with me already, after all the vet visits and force feeding I had to do because she stopped eating. After the surgery she physically healed up nice but mentally not so much. She is not a fan of me at all now. She used to be so sweet with me and pretty well behaved. Now some days I have a hard time even opening her cage and feeding her because she will try to jump at my hand and bite. So my question, what do I do?!?!?! I love her but I am at a loss here. I don’t know how to address her aggressive behavior or begin to re-bond with her. So any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
