Went to my first reptile expo ( OT) 
So I went to my first reptile exp the one in white plains NY and wow they are packed! It was really cool to see all the reptiles although I noticed mostly pythons were there lots of pretty one though.
While I was there my boyfriend and I decided to get this little girl
She was only 35$ and we didn’t find any other Honduran milks that had those colors they were either tangerines or albinos
Total doll too no aggression or nervous behavior she haven’t even musked yet. We’ve been throwing some names around but nothing yet we’ve decided on.
I hope to go to the expo in NH in September but I’m not sure if this is common with all expos but the vendors were a bit snoody and mean is this normal for all expos?

Well Then I guess I’ll have to give it another chance maybe it was because it was in NY people tend to be jerks there as is and talk about pushy people would be standing at a vendor and get pushed out of the way by rude people I hope with the next one being in NH it won’t be as bad but I still had fun minus the rude/pushy people.

aw she is gorgeous! i vote for Calypso lol.i am going to my first expo on sunday (i usually work so i miss them all but this time i am actually off!!!) i am so excited and while im not sure if ill find wht im looking for i do plan on grabbing some roaches to start a colony. but knowing me ill come home with something random and off the wall. Joe wants to get another Sulcata, but im still not sure...especially from a random vendor i know nothing about...i guess it will be a wait and see. i missed the one in cheswick PA yesterday!( but i hear the pittsburgh one is better anyway, and i better not get any snobby/rude vendors lol, i am not one to stand rudeness and i would prob tell them exactly where they can stick their reptiles lol...resulting in me getting kicked out of my first ever reptile expo haha!

I went back to the vendor I got her from and asked what gender she was and lady was like oh she’s too small to tell and blew me off so I went around to other vendors and asked and had three tell me she was female I went back there and said well just so you know it’s a girl it’s a shame you can’t take 5 seconds to look like all the other vendors did and they had twice as many people at their station go figure and walked away I’m generally not rude but this lady just pushed my buttons even before that. I would name her that but my iguana who passed last summers name was calypso my boyfriend is leaning towards shiva or hondora. I was looking for cyclura and there was only 1 place with iguanas and it was a bunch of baby greens like 50 of them in one cage I felt bad for them. But beware they are PACKED! I’m not sure if it was because it was pretty much in new york city or what but I couldn’t even move without someone running into me so be prepared to be bumped around a lot lol.

shhh im secretly looking for a cyclura too but i wouldnt get one at an expo (seriosuly Really when can i expect a baby haha) but i maaaaay come home with another ig if i can find the kind im looking for, im not telling yet because its a surprise lol but its not a cyclura(seriosuly im holding out for a kisatian baby) and its not a green...im thinking i have a pretty big house with 4 floors so why not have a giant enclosure on each floor and some semi giant ones every other floor haha! plus a giant reef tank (did i mention im upgrading the reef to an 8 foot long tank haha) i pretty much will have no room to walk but itll be heaven! plus i plan on cutting my houre at one of my jobs after vacation this year so i will be home lots more and my fiance just got a promotion (which makes me want to cut those hours now lol) so i will have all the time in the world for my scaly babies! but if they dont have my secret ig at the show then im just going to hold out for kismets babies (come on Really get those 2 on a romantic date already lol)

Oh I forgot they had spiney tail iguanas there those were pretty neat but yes with my mission unsuccessful I will hold out for a kisatian baby.

There is a very slim chance that Kismet’s eggs are fertile. It’s not likely, but it’s *possible*. I’ll incubate them and we’ll see, okay?

Expos in NH should be much more customer friendly. The woman who couldn’t take the time to sex the snake probably didn’t know how...
Still a very nice snake ...they get pretty big as far as milk snakes go !

I asked a couple people at the stand they said she was too small so I guess they probably didn’t know but yes I thought she was a cutie, I posted on the milk forums about something she did tonight to my boyfriend maybe someone here would know. They said she was fed last friday but she didn’t seem too sure about it... But crimson (the hondo’s name) while my boyfriend was holding her licked him a few times then she mouthed him? It wasn’t aggressive either or even like a normal snake tag she just opened her mouth and put her mouth on his finger he wiggled it a little and she let go and kept slithering on his hand. He hasn’t held any rodents or pet them etc it was just weird do you think she’s hungry or perhaps testing out my boyfriend lol?

Pink color can induce that kind of response....my beardies always want my fingers ...because I feed rat pinks on occassion.
Very cute ...kinda that your snake tasted your BF...lol, feed it more and larger items as you see fit...that snake can eat adult mice easily from my perspective of the photo.

We were told she’s feed every friday hoppers and others said I should feed fuzzys I’m pretty far out of the snake thing I owned ball pythons a few years back we’re picking her up some food tomorrow and see if she wants to eat or if she was just checking out my boyfriend.

Well I think it’s safe to say that she was hungry I put a fuzzy in there for her and went to the store which took 20mins came back and it was gone so I guess the little girl was hankering for some mice :]
