Good tortoise forum i was on this forum when i first got Zinder...but i found most of the people to be rude and acted like they have their heads up their behinds lol...but that could be because i was used to everyone on her first and no one here acts like an uppity know it all!) if i asked a question on that forum i would get blasted like i was an idiot. they must think that only people born knowing everything possible about a tortoise can own one, or at least thats how it came off to me.

Good tortoise forum i went there and poked around a bit, but i didn’t introduce myself. the article about beginners’ mistakes was interesting, though, and they’re compiling an edible/toxic plants list complete with pictures. i’ll probably at least read some more there.

Good tortoise forum Milan - omg I HATE forums like that .. the link above I posted around the enclosure and intro links and it was very active and everyone so far has been really nice!! :) I’m surprised how active it is! .. but I know exactly what you mean. I was part of a gecko forum where I’m certain none of the idiots giving advise had ever done any rehab of any kind in their life but would always throw their 2 cents in *eye roll* Funny thing about this hobby, once people get a reptile and manage to keep it alive for a few months they automatically become self proclaimed experts. Lord help anyone who makes a mistake (which we ALL do) because you get pounced on. I was actually turned off all forums for quite a long time because of that .. I only ventured back on the after I adopted my ig in March. It’s nice to have contacts if something goes wrong or to share pics of beautiful our critters because most "normal" people think we are crazy for keeping such big scary reptiles LOL I’m part of a few yahoo forums as well and they are "ok". The iguana den forum is pretty down to earth.
Jesse - throw a msg up on the "intro" link and you should get a warm welcome. I actually found someone in BC who is willing to ship a cactus to me if I want lol Its been a fun forum (so far)
