 Levi’s Room (pic heavy)
Well we are almost done with Levi’s bedroom...spoiled brat! we decided he will get 3/4s of the room and the other 1/2 is the office area. Also thanks for the vinegar tip (i think it was Susan who gave it or Jessi...i cant remember sorry lol) because it worked like a charm lol, he is no longer trying to eat his silk plants, he took one lick and made a face like a child with brussel sprouts hahaha! So here is his new set up complete with pillow, heating pad, and fogger (i couldnt find the kind of humidifier i was looking for so i broke down and bought this chintzy thing at work for $40...it better be worth it lol) it does have an auto shut off for when the water gets too low so i got a give it props for that haha.the room still needs lots of work and decorating, but ill get there eventually. and my little wooden filing cabinet is no longer used for important papers...it now holds things like iguana treats, and iguana leashes, and iguana water bottles and iguana...well you get the point lol! im so glad we never got around to carpeting the spare bedroom because this cheap linoleum is so much easier to clean! and it even kind of looks like rock haha!

i cant believe what a good boy he is! we really lucked out with him! i only hope Arokh grows up to be as sweet as him, but somehow i think he will be our "problem child" haha! Let me know if you see anything i should change, i know there isnt a CHE but this room stays at least 80 all the time so i didnt see one being needed at night, plus he has his heating pad if he feels like 80 is too cold lol. LEt me tell you what a pain it was to hang up these shelves! Joe put soooo many holes in the wall because the wall anchors wernt doing there job! luckily i was able to cover most of them lol. Its one of those closet maid shelf systems but we didnt set it up the way your supposed to because we wanted it longer, so its about 8-9 feet long, plus another 6 feet with his branch and window area, giving him about 14-15 feet or so of climbing room, not to mention all the floor space! speaking of the floor i found a pet safe floor cleaner from simple solutions called pawsafe floor cleaner. it works wonders on iguana poop, plus is safe for tongue flicking the floor!

oh, milan, it’s great! i do (the teacher in me, sorry!) need to point out that 3/4 and 1/2 equals a room and a quarter. i want a house like that--this one’s too small!
miss martie doesn’t have it quite as great, but she has the run of the whole house and two basking spots--and sleeps in mommy’s bed. it’s amazing how much space we’re willing to sacrifice for the comfort of our pets.

hahaha thanks Jesse, i did realize after i posted that i hit a 2 instead of a 4...its supposed to say 1/4 of the room is the office area lol...which now pretty much is just the computer desk haha! i love that we have a big house with extra rooms for the "kids", and its even better that it will be paid of in 2 more years lol(we only bought it 1 1/2 years ago) but i hate the area...theres nothing to do nearby. and the house did need a bit of work when we bought it, but i would gladly give up room in the house for a bigger yard lol

You’ve got an awesome setup there. I built a cage for mine it is 6x6x3. I open the doors when I am home so she can roam when she wants to.

i do the same thing, only with his bedroom doors lol. he was just stomping around our bedroom and getting cozy on our bed after his bath lol...you could say his cage is about 16x8x8 lol give or take. he mainly stays upstairs unless i carry him downstairs for some exploring and when he’s done he climbs up the stairs and into his room (or mine if he is still being adventerous lol), i keep all the other bedroom doors closed though becuase i never iguana proofed them and i dont need glass breaking all over the place haha! He was having lots of fun with my mirror though. i watched carefully so he wouldnt charge it, but he just head bobbed once then licked and rubbed his face against it...oh he is so vain haha!

i almost did bitter apple because i was at work...then i said "duh theres a dollar store across the parking lot" why spend $7 on bitter apple when i can spend $1 on vinegar lol...hey vacation is a week away and those things are expensive haha! i feel almost like ive replaced Arokh!( he still gets the same attention and love and food and everything, but i think im favoring Leviathan more...does that make me a horrible iggy mom? Levi just treats me so much nicer lol. even when hes mad at me he gives me the tiniest tail whip...i cant even call it that because he does it in slow motion and i cant even feel it, where as Arokh goes all out for no reason at all it seems. i know hes a baby still and he will grow out of his brattiness (oh Lord i hope) but gosh i just love this big guy! Also i have a vacation question but i will start a new thread for it...im just torn between my two guys...is it bad of me to like the one ive only had less then 3 weeks then the one ive had for 7 months?

Don’t worry, when ever you get a new pet we all like to spend more time with them :D but both your igs are special in their own ways. and if you keep handling Arokh he will warm up to you as he gets older. just think if you were that small and young and something the size of us came walking up to you I think I would be a bit frightened as well lol. Good luck with your Igs :D glade they both have such wonderful homes!!!!!!

Sweet , I often thought about using CLOSET MAID stuff...a bit pricey but it looks nice.
What a great room this will develop into, I am surprised that the little fogger cost so much ...that’s the price of a full size humidifier at Target / walmart.

Thanks Chris. And I looked at Wally world and I couldn’t find a cool mist one and we don’t have a target near us. I was getting impatient haha. It seems to be holding up pretty well though. And your right about the closet maid it’s waaay too expensive, but works like a charm
