 Kismet

Kismet seems to be feeling a little better and her stool looks a bit better. Even her eyes are a little brighter, but you can tell she is still not quite herself. I don’t expect her to start eating on her own until the antibiotics are done, but now that we know how to tube feed, that’s less of a danger. These are from this morning.

And look, this was last night! The kids are starting to get a long a little bit!

or, kismet isn’t feeling good enough to bite him... poor girl, you can see she’s still a bit gloomy, but the antibiotics are often as hard on them as what they’re supposed to treat. i’m glad she’s coming along; i’m sure she’ll be 100% soon.

No, I don’t think that is it -- she is pretty fiesta when it’s time for her injection! I think now that they are both out of breeding season they are more likely to ignore each other.

But yes, she is still a bit gloomy but much better than she was.

You are my hero and you need to teach me some of your tricks because i would be pulling my hair out!

Milan, we have been bemoaning the fact that she is so thin! I suppose it is a very good thing that she was almost obese before she got sick!

She isn’t eating yet. We are tube feeding her on the same days we give her injections. She probably won’t eat until she is finished with the antibiotics because one of the side effects is anorexia. We are still in the wait and see stage but we are cautiously optimistic.

I don’t have any tricks but I have been a total wreck.

Well from my view she still looks good. And this is coming from the girl with a 12 pound chihuahua lol. Prayers are still flying your way! Also this is weird but I had a dream about you last night. We were hosting a reptile show in the parking lot of my work and apparently you have a son that didn’t like the beard I was growing bahahaha! How strange. I remember their was also a woman with a flying CWD. I’m going to have to check out my dream dictionary to see what this one means lol.

CWD’s will break your heart...some do really well and others just take a turn for the worse...they are primarily wild caught and have parasite loads when imported....a vet check is highly recommended first stop !

They are subject to respiratory illness and easily succumb to infections if not kept at proper temps and humidity. They are arboreal and need a tall enclosure ...almost like an iggy...not quite as big.

As with all reptiles ...research and then more research is a good thing...

wow, this thread has totally wandered off! (i have to remind myself every trip to the pet store that my stewie was tiny, but a healthy wd gets nearly as big as an iguana.)
