OT You guys won’t believe what I came home with. Idk what came over me when I decided joe needed this for an anniversary gift. For some reason they arnt as horrible when they are babies. Are you ready? It’s an emporer scorpion?! WTH is wrong with me lol? I was cleaning out the scorpion cage at work and I lift up the moss and bam! There’s like 20 teeny tiny babies under there! I moved the two adults and fed the little ones. And after watching them homp on some silk work heads I asked my boss if I could have one for joe. He had no problems (what are we gonna do with 26 scorpions anyway. It’s not like we get a ton of people asking fr them at the store lol. So I picked out the fattest one and surprised joe with him. And boy was he surprised! He k ows I am not a huge bug fan haha. So for now e is in a critter keeper til he grows with bed a beast substrate, one of those rock bowls with the black sponge for water and a little hide. Does anyone else keep them? I know babies need higher temps as humidity but other then that I could use some info. I’m looking to you and your daughter on this one Susan haha!

OT You guys won’t believe what I came home with. We have two scorpions, Milan, an Arizona scorpion and an Emperor. That does NOT look like an Emperor. Is that what the store is selling it as?

OT You guys won’t believe what I came home with. it looks right for a baby emperor. my emperor, ethyl, had babies. they were teensy white critters with little black dots for eyes. she ate them so i don’t know what they would have looked like when they got a little older. maybe they darken slowly?
she belonged to my street brother, gator, during a part of my life that was both insane and long ago. gator went to jail and someone had to take care of her. my stupid then-husband left her in his "shop" in the direct sun and she baked.
i won’t worry about you, milan, if you won’t worry about me.

OT You guys won’t believe what I came home with. Yes from what I’ve read they start out white and are usually brown around a month old so I’m guessing him at maybe two weeks. But he is def an emporer because that is what gave birth to him and all the other babies lol. I k ow this because I set up that scorpion tank myself and t was empty and those two have been the only ones in there the whole time. And thy are the typical black with the magical greenish hue the emps have. I hope this little guy grows fast. I’m so worried about him somehow getting out of the slots on top of te critter keeper. He was stuck in the hole tht the tag goes through on his ceramic hide rock when I heckled on him earlier. An that holes tiny!! I do not want to think about a tiny scorpion escaping and roaming around in my house!! Oh an what are your guys opinions in the black lights for when he’s older? They look so neat but are they harmful at all? I guess it would add extra heat and it’s not bright like sunlight but idk how safe those are and joe really want to put one on him when he’s older.
