Wanting to save this poor baby off Craigslist! >:( Look at this tiny awful literal cage they have this guy in!

Currently trying to get a hold of the owner so I can take him in and give him the spacious enclosure that he needs!

Wanting to save this poor baby off Craigslist! >:( I thought you already had a male iguana? I also thought you had to get rid of benny for space purposes? If you do in fact have a male iguana and that iguana is also male it’s probably a bad idea as even having two males in the same house tends to be difficult so might want to look into that before getting another iguana.

Wanting to save this poor baby off Craigslist! >:( Yes take it from me. 2 males is tough. I have To keep the boys out of eyesight of each other at all times since Levi attacked Arokh. I went to a petstore yesterday and they had a poor adult ig in with another male and they were both torn up but the one was very bad and had a swollen jaw and no lights. I badly wanted to take him home an get him to a vet but I had to use my better judgment and knew I couldn’t handle another male. An walking away was the hardest thing I’ve had to do in a long time. But if you don’t have te space tht just makes it worse. I fully endorse rescuing him and finding him a good home but keeping him for yourself may not be the best thing for him.

Wanting to save this poor baby off Craigslist! >:( Well my family is open to keeping him either for good or at least till I can find him a good home so he wouldn’t be around my 1 year old Zane. I’m willing to go through the struggle of having 2 males, they would be on complete opposite sides of the house... still haven’t heard anything from the craigslist guy though :(

Wanting to save this poor baby off Craigslist! >:( It is so upsetting to see so many iguanas mistreated and not having the resources to rescue them all.. I can relate!! Milan, regarding the ones you saw at the pet store, even if you can’t take them in you could still report them/complain. They have to follow some rules and regulations and unfortunately some do not. I am a big believer in making a stink when it comes to reptiles being mistreated! I just recently went to a store in Michigan (where I am from) and was buying supplies and I always say hi to all the lizards and was very upset with what I found. A Chinese water dragon with no humidity and no UVB light, and 3 baby iguanas in the same set up and severely dehydrated and emancipated and one had feces dried on his back. I was so upset, I put down my purchases, took a picture and walked out. I was in tears because I had to spend my money to care for my own lizards and I could not save these ones. I immediately posted and tagged the picture on Facebook and then emailed the manager of the store and copied on the main office, as well as the local humane society. I received a response almost immediately detailing the issues that were fixed and the sickest iguana had been taken out to be cared for and treated separately. I get so upset seeing the poor babies in the stores, I have to buy supplies online...

Wanting to save this poor baby off Craigslist! >:( I also thought of this but unless you have a bedroom that one can have you are giving up any chance of letting either free roam which IMHO most adult iguanas should do. Hnless a ten foot cage can be provided. Also you have only had Zane for I think a week or two so you should prob let him get fully settled in and use to his new surroundings before bringing in another. Adopting this guy may brake what trust you have built with him so far. Just because they can’t see each other they know they are in the house. And even just knowing that may upset Zane and cause him to start acting out. Chances are someone else with sense will see the ad and adopt him therefor giving him a home with hopefully no other iguanas and he can be a spoiled only child like igs prefer.

Wanting to save this poor baby off Craigslist! >:( Look closely ...he has proper lighting ...clean conditions...fresh water bowl on bottom left. Basking shelf , and he is a hunk. I bet he is allowed out ??
He looks healthy/ well fed despite the small enclosure .....and I have seen far worse.
Why torture yourself with looking when your first love is there with you?
He doesn’t need rescuing ...just some minor improvements.

Wanting to save this poor baby off Craigslist! >:( I’d have to agree with cphill. my Ella’s old cage was half the size of this enclosure. I mean it sucks seeing them in such small spaces but I don’t think he is being mistreated or anything.
