Iguana harness help I found it. It looks like you have the right kind of leash but that it is not on properly. The front piece should be under the dewlap and the back piece just under the arms. The cord should fit between the spikes on a green. Here is one of Kismet in her leash without a shirt over it so you can see how it is supposed to fit.

Iguana harness help You might want to try a hip leash then.
I found one pic of a hip leash
Link
This one doesn’t look very strong though. You could probably convert the leash you have.

Iguana harness help Hip leashes are fine, the iguana shouldnt be able to get out if you do it right, and it shouldnt constrict or hurt him either if it is done correctly.

Iguana harness help at the moment, i am really liking the hip leash. my hatchlings aren’t big enough for even the tiniest harness, and not tame enough to be trusted w/o a leash. i don’t have an official "hip leash;" i have a long piece of purple yarn with a slip-knot in each end. one goes around the baby; the other goes around my little finger. they can hang out on my shoulder and i can still type and everything. just remember it needs to be snug, not TIGHT. it doesn’t seem to bother them a bit, and neither has ever slipped one. if i keep using a hip leash, then when they get big enough, i’ll make a real one.

Iguana harness help i was reading on the other post about how big your boy is. my grown female green has a rabbit harness. they sell them in the small animal section at petsmart. i just make sure i reach under it and smooth her spikes all back and even.
(the rest of that album where susan found the hip leash is really nice.)

Iguana harness help Thanks everyone for your help. I’m gonna purchase the hip one and the one that you sent me the link for that goes around the neck. This weekend I’m gonna look into the rabbit one too and see which will work. I swear I never saw a iguana that had its spikes so hard I can smooth them over but not back.. his spikes don’t even bend they stay straight up always lol thanks again
