Anybody know why my friend has about a 4 1/2 year old Iggy and he just started acting strange. Normally when he walks he is low to the ground. but for some reason when he walks now he is standing really tall. almost on his tip toes is what it looks like. Could he be mad about something and just trying to intimidate or could something be wrong. Please if anybody can help it would be great. We are really worried about him. Thanks for all who write back!

Anybody know why i’ve heard that when the males walk like that it’s a sign of aggession, sometimes displayed during breeding season, sometimes for the hell of it. mine does that when she runs across the floor suddenly. ( for no reason either!)

Anybody know why thanks for the response. Well we are not to sure about the sex the spikes are small and the pores are small. Which makes me think female. Plus Chilz has not big brain bumps ( i think that’s what they call it) The thing that has us confused is Chilz has not laid any eggs and is over 4 years. shouldn’t he have done this by now if it was female? He would walk like this when out the cage but never done it before in the cage. this just stared about a week or so ago.

Anybody know why It can definitely be an aggressive type walk...be cautious when you see that behavior.

Anybody know why That is good advise xta.My iggy never showed any hint he would attack. One day when he was 6 years old i was taking him out of the tub after a bath and he charged me.I had never seen him tail whip before and he was swinging that tail with jaws open ready for a fight.
