Questions What are the correct temps for a 1 year old Iguana? I’m talking about day, basking, and night. Also what is the humidity supposed to be? Is PVC pipe OK to use to make an enclosure? We were thinking about using that and some of this nylon sun shade material to wrap it with. Any other suggestions would help alot!!
Thanks

Questions My husband has made an enclosure for my iggy using wood with screening going around it . It was alot cheaper them buying one and works great . If you want doors on it I wouldn’t suggest PVC . Not sure how you would get a door in there with that material . But you might be more creative then I am . How are you going to get the nylon sunshade to stay on the pvc ?

Questions You need a basking temp around 90 to 95 with a cooler side of the enclosure around 80.Your ig needs to be able to move in and out of the hot area.Around 75 at night is good and as they get older 70 or high 60,s is good.

Questions Every thing ive ever heard said humidity needs to be around 60%.I have had iguanas for years now and find it impossible to keep a 60% humidity. What I do is keep 2 large dishes of water in his cage, mist him down as often as posssible and i have his cage near a window so when humidity is high outside or if its raining i just open the window. You can buy a humidifier but when i tried that i had fungus start growing on the walls so i got rid of it.

Questions Slee definitely likes it warm at night and he is an adult. He sleeps right under his CHE. My beardie prefers it colder and sleeps away from any night heat.
