he’s a beautiful color! i did notice that his tail looks like it broke off and regenerated? not sure if it should be that color though... anyone else here know? anyway, the tank thing really doesn’t get big enough for them as they grow. i’ve never come across one that’s suitable for the size they get. the rule of thumb is to have the cage twice the size of the iguana, tail included, height-wise and length-wise. is that bark you have as a substrate? if it’s a particle substrate it has to be removed, because they will ingest it, and that can cause a lot of problems. using newspaper or butcher paper is a safe and cheaper option. reptile carpet, or anything else that’s non-porous and one piece should be used.

Wow....good job...he looks much better and is a great color. I agree with everything Iluviggy suggested about removing the substrate etc.

In time he’ll probably eat when you are there but you’ll have to be patient.

His tail does look like it broke off. Keep an eye on that end to make sure the dark color doesn’t spread upwards. If it does, it could be dry gangrene and should be amputated further up.

i know i love his color hes getting alot more blue/teal coloring around his head and front legs and his tail hind legs and sides are turning a lil orange.. thinking its cuz its mating season.
the substrate is actually reptilawn which in a few days it should start growing since its a type of grass so it is edible. and yeah his tail has broken off it happened when my bf(meforme) first got him a yr or so ago. the brown/black part is the part that has regrown its color just hasnt come back ye,t but its starting too. and ive taken him to the vet when after we got him up here and the vet didnt say anything about having to amputate the tail.
and actually we found this huge tank at a pet store not to far from here for like $50 and its like one of the jewelry display cases in stores but its a lil taller. they also had a cage thing reminds me of just a shower stall thingy with a wire front which if we got it we would make it wider and replace the wiring with Plexiglas or something and put screening on the very top. to put the heat lamps and wut not on.
