 IGUANA HELP!

HEY! I REALLY want an iguana but I they get pretty big. I have the space but I didn’t know if there was a different kind of iguana or lizard that is like the iguana that is smaller. Other than a water dragon too cuz they need too much water haha and water is a pain when you need like a huge amount of it.

you would look up lizzareds but the last i know that they get about 7 to 8 feet long so if you are looking for some thing smaller i would look up lizzareds.

ya I want a water dragon. But I know they need water. I dont wanna run the risk of mine luving water and having to put in a huge lagoon or somethin lol. But I’m prolly gunna end up getting eitehr a club tail iggy or a savannah monitor when I research for a LONG time, and maybe even a water dragon.

Savannahs get pretty big too...plus they get heavier then an iguana. What about a spiny-tailed iguana...I thought I posted that message but maybe I didn’t hit submit. PE

You need to also see about desert iguana they get up to 16 inches long Check it out Desert Iguana And remember that what ever kind of Iguana you might get you need to make sur to provide him with a good habitat which can get expensive. Also it requier time for taming and taking good care of him

yes I know about all the habitat stuff. I’m not a dumb owner like some ppl on this site. Ppl automaticly assume that when I saym I’m looking into such and such of a rept they spaz and say u dont know n ething about them and all this crap. When I say I’m looking into them I mean I’M LOOKING INTO THEM SO I CAN C IF I WANT IT AND LEARN ABOUT IT B4 I BUY IT!!! But I can’t seem to get my mom to budge about getting n e diff species of repts so I’m getting more leos.

Shorty324, Sorry if I sounded like that. Iguanas seem to be one of the most abused reptiles I have seen. Because they are cheap and you get them as babies...people buy them not realizing how big they get and their proper requirements. I think that is why most of sound the way we do, trying to make sure the person knows what they are getting into. Sorry about that...I didn’t mean to give that kind of impression. I know from reading in the leopard gecko forum that you take care of your reptiles well. Anyway...sorry your mom would not consider any other reptile but a leopard geckos. PE

iguanas need a big tub of water in the bottom of there enviornment to for the water dragon you could just give him a bath every day ^_^ I’m either going to get an ig a water dragon or a bearded dragon most likly getting the ig Savvana monitors are tight yah know i think ive said that to you in one of the leo format board things... oh well, but water dragons are just spazztastic (thats why i love them (: )

I know its so horrible how once they know how hard the really are to take care of the just let it loose somewhere or try and get rid of it, or worse and just let it die! oh and Shorty if you didn’t read the one thing on the leo sight from your question "whos anoles do you want....do you knowhow big iguanas get?" I’m REALLY SORRY if i bugged the hell out of you with the iguana thing.
