 I brought Gizmo home tonight!

She is magnificent! I’m about 80% sure she’s a girl, and a good solid well-muscled and healthy one. The only thing I don’t like so far is that the family says she only poops about once a week, so there’s probably some dehydration going on. They had her on newspaper over a metal grid so no chance of substrate ingestion, and her diet has been excellent. I’m going to have to get her off pellet but she only has about a tablespoon of those every other day so she’s much more dependent on greens and fresh fruits and veggies than commercial diets. I’ve got a nice little set of ig tracks on my arms and she’s still hissing at me so I’ve let her go into her closet all by herself to settle down. Took a couple of bad snapshots and will try to get a better set of pictures when she’s not feeling so stressed. Here’s one really bad pic that you can laugh at! Chopped off my own head. Plus I have bigger jowls than Gizmo..... Here’s the beauty shot, although my flash washed out all her blues:

 I think she will become quite sweet

After she was in her closet for about an hour to settle down, I opened the door to check on her and she let me rub her neck and all along her jaw. I picked her up and sat with her across my lap for 3 hours while I watched some TV and she was great. Occasionally she would hear a noise, get scared and try to climb on top of my head. I’d let her get to my shoulder and put her hands on my head, but not go the whole way and she would slowly go back to my lap. This morning she hissed and got ready to tailwhip when I first came to her, but quickly settled down and let me rub her jawline once again. I’ll take things slowly and hope she begins to trust me a little more each day. We have plenty of time to become friends. I love this Gizmo girl of mine!

 Its incredible how easy we become in love with iguanas!!

Im completely in love with Dino!!You know, all my male igs are fighting I no longer can cage them together...Its impossible to have 4 cages in my balcony so Im afraid sooner or later Ill need to release one or two of them in the wild.The problem is I love them all so its difficult for me to decide which one I’ll release!!Now Shena/Sherman is living with me in my bedroom.But only until my husband arrives...He will arrive tomorrow from Maldives and then Shena/Sherman will need to go back to Godzilla’s cage.Godzilla’s became too heavy and lazy and as his cage is very big Shena/Shermann has a chance to survive without fights.Shena/Sherman became so much agressive attacking Thor and TREX without reason I had to take him out from their cages.
